Who is required to implement a HACCP System?<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/header>\n

Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 183\/2005 in its article 6, it is established that feed business operators are required to develop, apply and maintain one or more permanent written procedures based on the HACCP principles. Likewise, in Annex II of the same regulation, the different prerequisites for feed companies are established and defined, and in Annex I, the requirements that must be met in primary production are established.<\/p>\n

Similarly, companies that produce animal by-products and\/or derived products not intended for human consumption (SANDACH), must carry out permanent written procedures based on HACCP principles, as established by Regulation (EC) No 1069\/2009 in article 26.<\/p>\n

What differences exist between Good Hygiene Practices (BPH) and Biosafety plans?<\/h3>\n

GHPs are a set of measures to eliminate or reduce to acceptable levels the hazards that may occur in primary production and may pose a risk to animal health, human health or food safety.<\/p>\n

Biosafety, on the other hand, is a set of sanitary measures aimed at eliminating or reducing to acceptable levels the dangers associated with the entry of infectious and parasitic diseases in livestock farms, as well as reducing their spread.<\/p>\n
